How do I choose the correct locker?
Simply start with the end in mind and work backwards from your solution. So for example, think about the user, are they staff or a member of the public? Or is it for younger users with height restrictions? What Items do the users need to store in the locker, are the items large or small? Should the user have a key or be able to input their own code, or use their own padlock? Think about the environment that the locker is situated, is it a wet or a dry area? Indoors or outdoors? What is nesting?
We sell selected lockers as singles, nests of 2 and sometimes nests of 3. When you nest 2 lockers together you are fixing them to one another at the factory so that they cannot be separated. The advantage of nesting is that you will save some material costs as the lockers share a sheet of steel down one side of the locker. The disadvantage is that you may not have the same level of flexibility on installation, so make sure you know how many lockers are going next to each other in a row (run of lockers). Often People will buy 75% nested and 25% singles so that they have the freedom to adjust the location of the single lockers if necessary.
Why are Wet Area lockers and benches more expensive?
The materials used for Wet Area products have to be able to withstand harsher environments; these materials can vary product to product. In some cases we use Aluminium and Solid Grade Laminate and wet area locks to combat any chance of corrosion. Some products will be galvanised or Zinc coated to add corrosion protection. These materials and treatments make the wet area products more expensive as they are more labour intensive to manufacture and have a higher material cost.
Our steel lockers come with nesting holes and nesting bolts as standard so that you can fix them together yourself on site if required.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes, all our products have a 12 months workmanship guarantee.
Can I get replacement keys easily?
We offer a 1-2 day key replacement service for lockers and cabinets. If you look on the key or the lock barrel there is a key number which we can cut from code and post out the same day. *Please note that some higher security products cannot have keys cut in this way such as Mortice locks and safes* - Click for Help
